Unlocker Tool

The Unlocker tool is an Adobe Illustrator plugin that allows you to lock/unlock objects by simply clicking on them directly on the artboard.

To activate the Unlocker tool, either select it on the toolbar in the same group as the Select tool, or simply set the tool's shortcut in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.

Features:

• Click on an object to lock/unlock it

• Lock/unlock multiple objects at once by holding [LMB] while moving the mouse (use [Alt] to toggle lock/unlock mode)
• Locked items are highlighted while the Unlocker tool is active.
• To lock a specific item in a group instead of an entire group, hold down [Alt] while hovering over an object.
• You can turn off highlighting and change it's color in Edit > Preferences > Unlocker Tool Options.

To install:

1. Download the archive and open/unzip it. You will see several versions of the plugin for different environments.

2. Copy the version of the plugin that matches your version of Adobe Illustrator into the AI plugins folder.

The correct path to the main plugins folder on Windows (64-bit) is

(C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version]\Plug-ins

The Windows 32-bit path simply adds the "(x86)" like this
